Home: Welcome

South Coast Circus is the result of years spent training, performing, and passing on the craft of circus and the arts across Australia and the South Pacific.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Chantelle and Scott Reed, South Coast Circus grew from a long-standing commitment to circus arts and music within Adelaide’s creative community, before taking root on the southern coast they call home. What began as performance and teaching became something more deliberate: a place to train circus properly, with care, patience, and respect for the discipline behind the spectacle.

Winners of multiple State and National Awards and internationally recognised through their work in the South Pacific, South Coast Circus has become a leader in circus arts, known for exceptional training, honouring tradition, unforgettable performances and a thriving community culture.

Alongside South Coast Circus, Chantelle and Scott are also the creators of CircAxe, a circus and music fusion project that has appeared at major festivals including the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Adelaide Guitar Festival. This work informs their approach, blending physical precision with musicality, presence, and control.

Chantelle Reed, the driving force behind South Coast Circus, has spent years training performers through her Aldinga-based school. As both performer and mentor, she focuses not on shortcuts or quick results, but on building strong foundations and guiding students through safe, intentional progression.

South Coast Circus exists to pass on a way of training; one that values discipline, tradition, and the quiet work that happens long before the lights come up.

This is where circus is learned, not rushed.

And where what’s possible is earned.

All ages and ability levels are welcome.

"Chantelle Reed has been training young circus performers for three years now, through her Aldinga-based school South Coast Circus. A talented performer herself, she is a teacher beloved by students and parents alike, introducing a whole new generation to the continually evolving performing art of circus."
